We are extremely excited to announce a 2 full-day intensive with our very own award-winning choreographer Seeta Patel! In this masterclass, Seeta will be teaching techniques on Nritta and constructing movement through a detailed deep-dive into her flagship work ‘Rite of Spring’ – this is an absolutely unique opportunity to learn face-to-face and interact with an artist of Seeta’s calibre and experience!
DATES: 14th & 15th June 2025
TIMINGS: 10AM to 6PM (with 1 hour lunch break from 1-2PM)
LOCATION: Step Studios UK ANGEL (259 Goswell Rd., London EC1V 7AH)
CONTENT/STRUCTURE OF THE MASTERCLASS:
1. Adavu class (10-11:30AM) – 1.5 hour Adavu class focused on body conditioning and Bharatanatyam technique at an advanced level. (You can choose to attend only this class on both days!)
2. Rite of Spring Intensive (11:45-6PM): Taught excerpts from Seeta’s flagship piece ‘Rite of Spring’ immersing into music breakdown, navigating space in a group environment and creating intentional movement through Bharatanatyam technique. Seeta will be supported by company artist Aishani Ghosh for this part of the intensive.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
1. The morning Adavu Class is open to those who have completed their arangetram / learned a margam / for those currently in consistent training, practice and performance – it will be an intermediate to advanced level class.
2. The Rite of Spring Intensive is only open to Bharatanatyam dancers who are currently in consistent training, practice and performance – it will be advanced level and designed to be challenging. Please watch the trailer of Rite of Spring here to get a sense of how demanding the intensive will be.
(Please be honest about your current level of training and practice – masterclasses can be challenging and intense both physically and mentally – therefore if you have been out of practice for some time, then this may not be the best learning opportunity for you and we encourage you to check out our regular Adavu sessions and workshops that we offer.)
FEES:
1. Full Masterclass (both days 10AM to 6PM) = £165 per person | Students/Freelancers discount = £135 per person
2. One day ONLY (10AM to 6PM) = £90 per day | Students/Freelancers discount = £75 per day
3. Adavu Class ONLY (10AM to 11:30AM) – £20 for 1 day OR £30 for 2 days | Students/Freelancers discount rates = £15 for 1 day OR £25 for 2 days.

Important Info Re Payments:

3. If you have any issues with payment / need financial assistance, please get in touch with us – we want to make sure you can attend this class!
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you can cancel >72 hours in advance of the masterclass, you will get a full refund (this will drop to 50% refund for >48 hours’ notice and 25% refund for >36 hours’ notice). If for any reason the class is cancelled by us, we will refund you the full fees.
